At any given time, Michigan Road Animal Hospital at 96th Street employs about 15-20 staff members not including our three veterinarians. Our group of animal care providers and animal lovers have one mission: to meet and exceed your pet’s needs using compassionate, progressive, quality medical care. Our staff meets regularly for staff development and educational meetings. These meetings help keep us on top of any changes in veterinary medicine, provide us with team-building opportunities, and offer us the time to discuss how to serve you better.
Our Client Service Team
Our Client Service Associates (CSA's) are the friendly faces you talk to when you call us or stop in. They are responsible for the hospital appointment schedule, checking patients in and out, and client education. Michigan Road Animal Hospital at 96th Street's CSA's work very closely with all of the different teams, as well as with you–our clients. They want you to have a great experience at Michigan Road Animal Hospital at 96th Street and want to exceed your expectations in every way.
Our Patient Care Providers & Technicians
If your pet has been admitted to the hospital for surgery or hospitalization, our Patient Care Providers and Tecnicians (RVT's) are who you speak with before you leave your pet. They will also talk with you at pick up as well and sometimes even during your pet's stay. Michigan Road Animal Hospital at 96th Street's trained Patient Care Providers and Registered Veterinary Technicians assist our doctors to meet your pet's needs. This includes: drawing blood, giving injections and other medications, filling prescriptions, performing dental cleanings, prepping and monitoring surgical patients, setting IV catheters, etc. They are in charge of all of the patients who are checked into the hospital at any given time.
Our Veterinary Assistant Team
The backbone of Michigan Road Animal Hospital at 96th Street are our Veterinary Assistants. They are our pet caregivers. They work side-by-side with our doctors during office calls and assist our Patient Care Providers in every aspect of your pet’s care during treatments and surgery, and provide loving care to all of our boarding & daycare pets. They work very hard to maintain a clean environment in and around our hospital as well.
Our Professional Pet Stylist
Without Lauren your pooch & your kitty would be awfully furry! She is our fabulous pet stylist at Michigan
Road Animal Hospital at 96th Street. She is always available to chat with you at the time you drop your pet off to get your specific instructions for your pet's haircut. She will make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for during their stay. A grooming appointment with Lauren includes a shampoo, haircut, ear cleaning, and a nail trim. She also offers a variety of extra services including blueberry facials and fun feather hair attachments.
